Players anticipating the release of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined can get a head start too much longer. A free-to-play trial experience is set to go live on Jan. 7, offering a sizable taste into the game's opening hours. Critically, all progress achieved within this demo will be able to be imported directly into the full game upon its subsequent release.
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined constitutes a comprehensive re-envisioning of the iconic 2000 role-playing game, originally known as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a significant step away from other series re-releases, like the recently launched HD-2D versions, this version embraces a unique three-dimensional aesthetic. Subsequently, the complete game, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, is then set to arrive on Feb. 5, 2026. It will be released on a broad range of systems, such as Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox.
